Permitting Branch: Approval Orders (Construction Permit)

Approval Orders have been required for most new or modified operations since 1969 and are issued by the New Source Review section. These permits may include limits on both construction and operation activities. A guide is available that describes the requirements of an Approval Order application, known as a Notice of Intent. Businesses with low levels of air emissions may be eligible for a Small Source Exemption. Link to Air Quality Self Audit for Small Businesses?  Information on soil remediation projects (link?) and sales tax exemptions (link?) for the installation of pollution control equipment is also available through the New Source Review section.
