Planning Branch

The Planning Branch is responsible for developing plans (SIP) to reduce air pollution, developing rules (Administrative Rules) that set requirements on air emissions for both individuals and industry in Utah, tracking emissions from sources of air pollution (Emissions Inventory), and projecting future air pollution levels by using computer models (Technical Analysis). In addition, the Planning branch is involved in the air quality impacts of transportation issues, including vehicle inspection and maintenance, fuels, and highway construction (Mobile Sources).
