Emissions Inventory
Utah has not historically calculated area source emissions from the oil and gas inventory. In 2005, UDAQ prepared an initial inventory estimate of VOC and NOx emissions statewide, using emission factors that had been developed in Wyoming for the years 1999 and 2002.
An updated inventory has since been prepared for the Uintah Basin using emission factors developed for those oil fields. However, a new inventory has not yet been prepared for the rest of the state.
For comparison purposes, the 1999 inventory that was developed using Wyoming emission factors for all counties is shown below.
