Cache Valley Emissions Inventory:

Current Conditions

UDAQ has developed an emissions inventory for a typical wintertime day in the Cache Valley. Below is an emissions inventory breakdown for a typical wintertime day in the Cache Valley. This pie chart indicates the relative contributions of each of the significant pollutants that are found in the Cache Valley. The chart is broken down into three segments, indicated by color. The green colored section of the chart indicates the carbon monoxide (CO), a chemical that does not influence the development of PM2.5. The hot colored section (reds and oranges) indicates the chemicals that can form PM2.5 once released into the atmosphere. The blue section indicates particulate matter that is emitted directly into the atmosphere. In addition, because this emissions inventory was developed specifically for wintertime conditions, it does not represent the conditions that exist during the rest of the year.
