Air Pollution Training Institute (APTI) Telecourse Schedule
EPA's Air Pollution Training Institute (APTI)
Primarily provides technical air
pollution training to state, tribal, and local air pollution professionals,
although others may benefit from this training. The curriculum is available in
classroom, telecourse, web-based, and self-instruction formats.
No registration is required for self-instructional courses that are available through the APTI Virtual Classroom. Other benefits to using the APTI Virtual Classroom:
- Instant testing.
- Instant feedback.
- Upon successful completion of the test, students receive a printable certificate via the Web.
- No APTI registration.
- No APTI PIN required.

Air Pollution Distance Learning Network (APDLN)
The Air Pollution Distance Learning Network (APDLN) is a digital educational satellite broadcasting network of over 100 governmental and university broadcast affiliates located across the United States. The APDLN is the result of a collaborative partnership between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), state, local, and tribal air pollution control agencies.

For all workshops and webinars we request that you register with APTI. Please submit your application to your site coordinator, who will forward it to APTI. To determine the site nearest to you, contact Jean Taylor at 919-541-4946, or check out the site locator map. Our policy regarding 300 and 400 level courses remains unchanged; pre registration is required with APTI. The registration deadline is two weeks prior to the date the broadcast begins. APTI application forms are required for 300 and 400 level courses. Send the completed form to:

If there are not enough registrants for a 300 and 400 level telecourse (minimum of 75 registrants), the broadcast will either be canceled or rescheduled to a later date.
For all broadcasts offered "Free to the Public" priority will be given to State and local air pollution control agency personnel. Site coordinators will be responsible for alerting the public to this policy.
